Brad has earned his designation, among select thousands in the world, as a Certified Professional in Erosion & Sediment Controls (CPESC) as well as his designation as a Certified Erosion, Sediment and Storm Water Inspector (CESSWI), lending his experience and training to his customers to consult them in all of their storm water needs.

Brad has been invited to speak on storm water and erosion control issues in San Diego, CA; Nashville, TN; San Antonio, TX; New Orleans, LA; Fort Worth, TX; Bella Vista, AR; Houston, TX , Portland, OR and College Station, TX as well as internationally in Antigua, Guatemala and in San Jose, Costa Rica. Brad was nominated for a Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) Texas Environmental Excellence Award in 2015, and again for 2016! He was awarded the International Erosion Control Association (IECA) Young Professional of the Year award in 2014.  And he was recognized as 1 of the 14 New Wave of Industry Leaders ​in 2015 by Storm Water Solutions Magazine which stated thatBrad Flack, President Storm-Tex Services

CESSWI EnvirocertAdditionally he served as President and has also served as the Administrative Vice President of the South Central Chapter of the International Erosion Control Association. Brad has served as the Region 6 Chapter President for EnviroCert International serving all certifications in Texas, Oklahoma, Louisiana, Arkansas and New Mexico. He has served as the Region 7 Representative for the CPESC, Inc group as well as the Technical Vice-Chair for the Council, and has served as the Chair of the Education Committee: Stormwater Management Track for the IECA Region 1, which encompasses North America, South America & Europe, of which he is still a committee member. He is an IECA Mentor as well, and also serves as a TCEQ EnviroMentor. And Brad was nominated for the IECA (International Erosion Control Association) 2015 Outstanding Professional Award.IECA

He also served as a member of the Policies and Procedures Committee for EnviroCert International (ECI) and was part of the committee which helped create the CPISM program (Certified Professional in Industrial Stormwater Management). Brad has been involved with Stormwater Quality Management since 2004 where he learned about permitting, turf establishment, erosion control and detention pond maintenance.


He has since then continued to learn and develop his storm water knowledge and skills and is now a speaker at many conferences sharing his expertise. His attention to detail and depth of knowledge about structural control devices, vegetative stabilization and best management practices are a valuable asset to both Storm-Tex Services and his clients. His wife is his high school sweetheart, and they have been married for over 12 years and have 2 sons; a 6 year old and a 2 year old. Brad is also in active leadership at his church and frequently goes on mission trips to drill for water in rural villages in Honduras and is the Director of Hands and Feet Honduras, a non-profit missions organization.

Brad has presented in Spanish about erosion and sediment control as well as stormwater management to professionals, technical experts and engineers at the CICES VII/ Iberoamerican Chapter of IECA Conference in Antigua, Guatemala and then in Spanish to environmental and civil engineering students at UNED (State University of Costa Rica) in San José, Costa Rica about erosion control and stormwater management. Half Moon Education

Brad has been asked to present for HalfMoon Education numerous times about stormwater management, MS4 Phase II permitting, and monitoring and inspections for stormwater systems as well as Erosion and Sediment Control.

He has also been recruited to be a presenter and subject matter expert for stormwater management and erosion & sediment control for StormwaterONE.com, the leader in online training and credentialing for the stormwater industry.

Tim McDonald

Industrial Services Project Manager

Tim graduated from Southern Illinois University with a M.S. in Geology, and then joined CH2M HILL in 1998 as a project geologist. Over 16 years Tim advanced to a Project Manager position, leading teams in many areas, including: soil and groundwater site investigations and remediation, annual air emissions inventories, storm water permit renewals and inspections, and preparation of SPCC plans. Tim joined Storm-Tex Services in 2015 as a Construction and Industrial Services Project Manager.

Tim takes any opportunity to travel to Wisconsin to visit his son (recent MFA graduate from Univ. of WI) and daughter-in-law (teacher). In his free-time, Tim works to improve his photography skills, enjoys working on vintage arcade and pinball machines, and spending time with Angie. He is an active member of Faithbridge UMC and works with the Nehemiah Serve Team to provide handyman-type support to those in need.


Lauri Nevius
Post Construction Renewals Coordinator

Lauri is an invaluable member of the Storm-Tex Services team.  She handles the coordination of all the permit renewals for our clients.  Lauri is trustworthy, efficient and drives herself to doing a better job each day.  She works with operations and the project/account manager of each site to get the permits renewed on time and as smoothly as possible. As a native Houstonian, she has seen her fair share of flooding and enjoys the small part she plays to protect her hometown from its effects. Lauri also volunteers her time as an advocate for survivors and victims of human trafficking in Greater Houston and abroad.

Mike Zarro 
Post Construction Operations Manager

Mike was asked to join the Storm-Tex Services team because he is meticulous and detail oriented.  Mike is tasked with taming a growing business and its multiplying service menu. There are hundreds of items that need to be revieNPDES Certified Storm Inspectorwed each month, double checked for accuracy and coordinated with the project/ account manager, and he handles it all.

As a Certified Stormwater Inspector (CSI) from the National Stormwater Center, Mike is focused on stormwater permit compliance as the key to restore and maintain the waters of the United States.  Mike is married and has 2 children.  Mike enjoys the outdoors and working out with friends.

Kim joined the Storm-Tex team in 2016. Her role is to support the efforts of the project managers, operations, accounting and executive team leaders. She has arguably one of the most important positions on our team as a go-to person for administrative tasks and organizational duties.

Jennifer has been around storm water industry since 2007. She handles all of the scanning, filing and completed documents communication with our clients. She is very self disciplined and is a very hard worker. She enjoys spending time with her boys and her husband, Brad.


Vera Atkinson

Vera Atkinson, PE

Vera graduated in 1999 from Texas A&M University with a B.S. in Civil Engineering. She is Vice President and Professional Engineer for the firm. She has an eye for detail while working hard in the background to make sure the customers are in compliance and treated fairly.

NPDES Certified Storm InspectorVera also handles the company’s numerous financial details having learned with on the job training while working for her husband’s company, Atkinson Engineers, until she returned to work full time for Storm-Tex Services. She is the mother of 3 and an active volunteer at her church and for Living Water International.
